Our latest club event was on the quick local course starting on Brogborough hill. We had pretty good conditions for the event, sunny and with a light 9mph headwind out to the turn. I did find the return leg rather tougher than I expected. Also unexpected was my win in this event, with 23:24.

Here's the chart of this race, from intervals.icu. I think it's pretty clear that the outbound leg was at a higher power than the return (I did seem to struggle to keep the effort up). I rode my usual stupidly low cadence, which is something I do need to address. generally speaking I'm training at a higher cadence than I end up racing at.
